IUPUI is the urban research and life sciences campus of Indiana University where students earn degrees from either Indiana University (IU) or Purdue University (PU). Majors in science and engineering earn Purdue degrees, while business, informatics, liberal arts, medical sciences and many other majors earn Indiana University degrees. IUPUI offers generous scholarships ranging from $3,500 to $16,000 per year for up to four years to beginning international freshmen with strong secondary school grades and high SAT scores.

IUPUI international students participate in Student Government, organize dozens of national clubs, and sponsor social and educational programs. They are integrated in co-curricular programs across the campus and in the community. The IUPUI International Club hosts a popular Friday culture hour every week during the academic year, providing news, cultural information and international cuisine. The annual International Festival engages all students of the University, highlighting international customs and cuisines, study abroad options, international clubs, activities and projects on campus, and international academic programs.
Students at IUPUI enjoy beautiful facilities in a large urban campus environment. The Campus Center for Students, Herron School of Art and Design, the IU School of Law, the Informatics, Communications & Technology Center, the University Library, and University Housing all enjoy new facilities. The IUPUI International House, Purdue House, Honors House, and Women in Science House of the Campus Apartments on the Riverwalk provide living-learning programs for IUPUI students. They offer private bedrooms in two- or four-bedroom apartment units with shared kitchen and living facilities, laundry equipment, and individual broadband access to University computer networks.
IUPUI has over 200 student organizations and outstanding volunteer opportunities in the Indianapolis community. In the center of campus is “Democracy Plaza” where students, faculty and staff enjoy open discussions on the issues of the day.
The Office of International Affairs is a comprehensive international unit that provides full services for international students, hosts international visitors, sponsors international programs and promotes internationalization through curricular development, strategic partnerships abroad, and faculty and student exchanges.
